2009 Art and Education

Moose on the Loose will be staged in a gallery setting at WILDFEST Winter Park and will consist of metal cutouts of moose painted and decorated by local artists.

Festival attendees will be invited to vote online for the People’s Choice winning design by voting online. At the end of the festival, all the art except the winning People’s Choice will be auctioned off and the funds will go to the WILDFEST benefactors.

Moose on the Loose will also have a school division and be open to schools across the state for design submissions.

A panel of judges will select the designs that will be created for both the professional and the school divisions. In conjunction with the school division, WILDFEST is working with the Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game to produce a moose safety piece that will go out to the schools along with the invitation to submit a moose design.
