2009 Sporting Events

REI Sport Track – Come to WILDFEST Winter Park and try on cross country skis, skate skis or snow shoes and test them out on the Sport Track. Also check out winter mountain biking options.

WILDFEST Winterathlon – Alaska’s first ever winter triathlon. This run / bike / ski event will have an adult and a youth division. WILDFEST is partnering with ConocoPhillips Healthy Futures to coordinate the youth division.

WILDFEST Pond Hockey Tournament – This tournament is geared for ages 5-8 to introduce young hockey players to the competitive tournaments that incorporate friendly competition and lots of fun. WILDFEST is partnering with the Anchorage Hockey Association to coordinate the tournament.

WILDFEST Celebrity Skate – Bring the whole family down to skate with local sports heroes and celebrities. We’ll have music, warming barrels, fun and a special surprise celebrity you won’t want to miss!

WILDFEST Volleyball Invitational – This first year of the WILDFEST Invitational will be held in the new Dena’ina Convention Center. High school age teams will be invited from across Alaska and throughout the lower 48.

WILDFEST Wacky Volleyball Challenge – Bet you never thought you’d see volleyball played outside in the snow! Come and check out our WILDFEST version of beach volleyball!

WILDFEST Winter Park Activities – Come to Winter Park and play miniature golf in ice, slide at the Ice Castle, sled down the hill, navigate your way through the “a-maze-ing” snow maze and wander through the park to check out the ice sculptures, carved snow walls, Moose on the Loose and more!
